A while back, I promised to personally host the 4e1'o6 Community (3e1'o5 back then), and it has been done =D.

4e1′o6 Community (http://4e1.pixelatedd.com/) is run by a powerful Content Management System (CMS) with a varied list of features and interactions we can enjoy for the moments to come. Some examples include a discussion forum, photo gallery, article submissions and lots more. Do spread the word around, it’ll be online as long as Zrayon and myself own Pixelatedd.com.

Please register an account there, and I believe this blog will be obselete soon, for the system 4e1'o6 Community is running on is much smoother, faster, efficient than Blogger itself. Accounts are activated by the administrators, so it might take awhile for your account to be validiated.

Change in 'O' Levels Examination Timing on the 16th November 2006

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board has made adjustments to the timing of some examination papers for the GCE O and A levels on the 16th and 17th of this month.

This is in view of possible travel delays due to traffic arrangements to facilitate US President George Bush's visit to Singapore.

The move is to ensure the candidates reach their exam centres on time.

On 16th November, time adjustments have been made to the O level Additional Mathematics and A Level Geography papers, while on 17th November, there are time adjustments to the O Level Food and Nutrition and Principles of Accounts papers and the A level Further Mathematics and Divinity papers.

"Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin killed by stringray off Great Barrier Reef

Irwin was at Batt Reef, off the remote coast of northeastern Queensland state, shooting a segment for a series called “Ocean’s Deadliest” when he swam too close to one of the animals, which have a poisonous bard on their tails, his friend and colleague John Stainton said.

“He came on top of the stingray and the stingray’s barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart,” said Stainton, who was on board Irwin’s boat at the time.

Crew members aboard the boat, Croc One, called emergency services in the nearest city, Cairns, and administered CPR as they rushed the boat to nearby Low Isle to meet a rescue helicopter. Medical staff pronounced Irwin dead when they arrived a short time later, Stainton said.

Irwin was famous for his enthusiasm for wildlife and his catchword “Crikey!” in his television program “Crocodile Hunter.” First broadcast in Australia in 1992, the program was picked up by the Discovery network, catapulting Irwin to international celebrity.

He rode his image into a feature film, 2002’s “The Crocodile Hunters: Collision Course” and developed the wildlife park that his parents opened, Australia Zoo, into a major tourist attraction.

“The world has lost a great wildlife icon, a passionate conservationist and one of the proudest dads on the planet,” Stainton told reporters in Cairns. “He died doing what he loved best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. He would have said, ’Crocs Rule!”’

Prime Minister John Howard, who hand-picked Irwin to attend a gala barbecue to honor President Bush when he visited in 2003, said he was “shocked and distressed at Steve Irwin’s sudden, untimely and freakish death.”

“It’s a huge loss to Australia,” Howard told reporters. “He was a wonderful character. He was a passionate environmentalist. He brought joy and entertainment and excitement to millions of people.”

Irwin, who made a trademark of hovering dangerously close to untethered crocodiles and leaping on their backs, spoke in rapid-fire bursts with a thick Australian accent and was almost never seen without his uniform of khaki shorts and shirt and heavy boots.

His ebullience was infectious and Australian officials sought him out for photo opportunities and to promote Australia internationally.

Irwin’s public image was dented, however, in 2004 when he caused an uproar by holding his infant son in one arm while feeding large crocodiles inside a zoo pen. Irwin claimed at the time there was no danger to the child, and authorities declined to charge Irwin with violating safety regulations.

Later that year, he was accused of getting too close to penguins, a seal and humpback whales in Antarctica while making a documentary. Irwin denied any wrongdoing, and an Australian Environment Department investigation recommended no action be taken against him.

Stingrays have a serrated, toxin-loaded barb, or spine, on the top of their tail. The barb, which can be up to 10 inches long, flexes if a ray is frightened. Stings usually occur to people when they step on or swim too close to a ray and can be excruciatingly painful but are rarely fatal, said University of Queensland marine neuroscientist Shaun Collin.

Collin said he suspected Irwin died because the barb pierced under his ribcage and directly into his heart.

“It was extraordinarily bad luck. It’s not easy to get spined by a stingray and to be killed by one is very rare,” Collin said.

News of Irwin’s death spread quickly, and tributes flowed from all quarters of society.

At Australia Zoo at Beerwah, south Queensland, floral tributes were dropped at the entrance, where a huge fake crocodile gapes. Drivers honked their horns as they passed.

“Steve, from all God’s creatures, thank you. Rest in peace,” was written on a card with a bouquet of native flowers.

“We’re all very shocked. I don’t know what the zoo will do without him. He’s done so much for us, the environment and it’s a big loss,” said Paula Kelly, a local resident and volunteer at the zoo, after dropping off a wreath at the gate.

Stainton said Irwin’s American-born wife Terri, from Eugene, Ore., had been informed of his death, and had told their daughter Bindi Sue, 8, and son Bob, who will turn 3 in December.

The couple met when she went on vacation in Australia in 1991 and visited Irwin’s Australia Zoo; they were married six months later. Sometimes referred to as the “Crocodile Huntress,” she costarred on her husband’s television show and in his 2002 movie.

Ok, we [Von`JR`Clifford`Sheng`Clement`Zul`Lian Siang`Alex`me] went together. Ehs. Then we saw this lady with hair longer than her bottom -.-''' After we alighted at Bedok lahs.

Then we went to makan. Ehs, after that some of us walked to the pit [from 20+ to 72 lehs!!!]. Like an hour like that. A form of exercise sia!!!

Today was quite fun lah better than last year? At least....NO BAGS WERE LOST. Sheng fu not suaning me. Sorry lah, last year it's my fault but u don't have to keep reminding me. =.=

Well well, today I brought camera [as some of you know] and here are some interesting ~~and not so interesting~~ photos to share. =D

Soccer Match (4E1 vs 5N1)

Hey people.

Although we lost the game (4 - 1), let's not be discouraged =]. We lost with a sense of satisfaction. This is our first time competing with another class - in fact, a reknown class.

Sheng Fu, you played well despite being ill. Tun Jiang, you did a great job defending and tackling many opponents. Hiroshi, you tackled opponents pretty well too. Alex, you made good attempts to score. Qi Ming, you can handle the ball pretty well. Eugene, you did great in holding control of the ball. Azizul, nice headings and defensive kicks. Jowell, get that "I can't do it" theory off your mind yeahs? Chin How, you sprint crazily fast, and nice headings too. Clifford, many great saves from you. Clement, you played well, despite the time constraint.

Practice makes Permanant! We fail once, we succeed twice. =]
We played with Sportsmanship, and I daresay 5N1 lacked that. Our performance surpassed what should have been expected from us by others. Kudos to players =D.

And of course, 4e1'ers at the benches, thanks for the support too =D. It's the little things that counts.

Before I start, let me make clear one point. If you can't stand long posts, don't bother reading. I had enough of people who complain my posts are too long or too wordy.

The forum was created for the sole purpose of allowing an easy form of discussion to be held outside of curriculum hours. It is also meant to be a form of communication between one another, be it while we are still as a class, or after graduation.

But now, I don't have to clearly explain myself, but you should be able to see the state the forum is in now. 42 registered users, less than 5 are contributing to the forum. On the other hand, there are people who are contributing to the downfall of it. How long has it been since a proper, organised discussion has been done? I started quite a few discussions, but sad to say, none of them worked out.

23th July 2006, the forum is closed from this day onwards. I see no point in continuing to maintain the forum.

I can foresee something though, that this class blog will die out one day as well. But it doesn't matter, for majority do not appreciate the efforts and hardwork put in by some of us in trying to get the class together. To reiterate a point I made before, I'm not trying to show us as saints or whatsoever, but I'm just trying to show how much ignorance majority are showing towards some of us.

Whatever I posted above, I believe some of you people agree as well. Nonetheless, if you can't accept it, nobody's forcing you. Live in your own dimwitted world.

The Class T-Shirt is on its way to completion, and all that's left is the T-Shirt size allocation. Throughout the next few days, you will be asked to try out and state the size that you want to wear. If such a simple thing cannot be done properly, I don't know what else can be done already. If you all have criticisms about the Class T-Shirt, keep it to yourself. Having those ridiculous remarks on the list that was passed around is enough already. Quit making life hard for others.

Reason: Boring lessons. Need to change class "quote". Class survey

Seok Min so ke lian. Everything she need to reconsider again, the colour, the class name and index where to put, and the changing of class "quote".
Nevertheless, our classmates are quite irresponsible to suggest inappropriate quotes. Imagine how piss off you will be if you were to be the designer
1) to design a shirt
2) forking out your free time to brainstorm wat design will suit the whole class
3) going all the way to far east to settle printing of tee-shirts
while others get to study, play games, watch TV?

I pity her lei! Worst of all, criticism on a survey? a.......I think our class got a little ap.

Today Sharon, Seok Kian and I went to Far East. We got a little bit lost and even don't know where is the shop that Hafizah recommanded. It took us a really long time to find that shop...imagine stopping at every T-shirt manufacture shop to ask if they can print gradient... (-.-'')

Anyway, when we enter the shop, I felt so inferior! His designs were great! So punk looking. (You'll know if u visit that shop, the only shop that can print toning) The person is a graduate from paris lei....... wah......then the display shirts all got beautiful intricate designs with gradient.

Note: Class Tee shirt should be changed to black or navy since the purple is very......-.- but decision can be changed since we haven gif the deposit.
Tee shirt is $16. We need everyone to pay by the end of next week.

hmmx....as we dunnox which departure hall she would be at...cheryl, sheng fu, jia rong and lian siang went to terminal one while kim man, sharon, tun jiang and jowell stayed at terminal 2...after tt, yvonne and me jiu arrived at terminal 2 lo...few mins later, they called and said mrs wee was at terminal 1...so we ran all the way there due to no skytrain at that time...damn tiring sia...lolx...but who knows someone spoilt everything as it was mend to be a surprised for mrs wee...nvmx...

Arhx...today's lesson. Somehow I feel that the day is SO long. - We have a new P.E. Teacher, Miss Wong May Qi
- P.E. Lessons are now Monday first period and Tuesday fourth period.
- Our Tuesday afternoon lessons have been shifted to Monday, and is no longer Chemistry, but Maths.
- We have 5 periods of Maths on Monday, 3 during school, 2 after.
- We have TRIPLE English on Wednesday, and double geography.
- We have double English on Friday after recess.
- Social Studies is now on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- CME on Monday is gone, put to Tuesday. CME on Wednesday is put to Thursday.

Just to update you people on Microsoft products, Microsoft has officially released the new version of MSN Messenger, renamed Windows Live Messenger, on 20th June 2006, just a few days back. The interface of this new version has been completely redesigned, it's more simple, cleaner, and yet more powerful than anything else MSN has released so far.

You can download the client at the official website: http://messenger.msn.com

In addition to Windows Live Messenger, MsgPlus.net will be releasing the new MsgPlusLive on the 24th June 2006 (Saturday) at 23:40 GMT. The new website for MsgPlus is http://www.MsgPlusLive.net.

Hm........time really flies. At the head of the year I've already had this plan. We should take photo of 4e1's memorable moments and make it into a flash so that during graduation ceremony we can distribute this "flash" to everyone. But then it's like...I need good photographers? (To capture the natural look eg......when SF is bullying someone or making a fuss *snap!* catch it! hahaha.....then it won't look like they're acting for the pictures. >.< Well......this is just part of my dream. Cause I wanna leave a memorable experience in secondary life =D (if any spelling,grammar or wat mistakes I've made please ignore) This is a really difficult task because the photographer will have to be willingly take this task and quick enough to snap those precious scenes. For this time, the more rare photo he/she can get is the moment the boys start to play catching again. For the girls, a moment when they finally give up studying even during recess time(this should be easy after Os )
